He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Hatch Calame; his children, John Barton Calame, Jr. (Ella), Russell Farrell Calame (Rachel) and Catherine Calame Botto (Brian); his grandchildren, Matthew, Anna Cate Botto, Gregory Calame, Sophie, Sydney and Carter Calame; his siblings, Paul Calame (Carol) and Mary Jane Chotard (Richard); and his brother-in-law Stephen Hatch. He is also survived by four nephews, a niece, and many other family members and close friends.

The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to a charity of choice.
