She was predeceased by: her husband Jerome Brickey. She is survived by: her children, Melvyn Douglas Stokes, Jr., Michael Duane Stokes and Gia Stokes; her grandchildren, Jasmine and Matthew Stokes; her great grandchild Anaya Coleman; her sisters, Lorraine Jackson (Walter) and Gloria Arrington (Jason); her niece Lisa Jackson; her nephew Terry Collier; and her caregivers, Renee Myers and Janice Plummer.
