He was predeceased by: his brother Daniel Paik. He is survived by: his wife Beth Hylander Shindler; his children, Connor and Eleanor Shindler; his parents, Mija Kim Paik (Paul) and Jimmie Shindler; and his siblings, Faith Shindler, Carmella Shindler, Jiji Shindler, Jacob Shindler, Greg Shindler (Miranda) and John Shindler.
