We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Jean Marie Backus of Collierville, Tennessee, born in Plattsburgh, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Joseph Macbeth and Marie Antoinette Macbeth (Boutin); and her sister Elizabeth Ann Macbeth. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Stephanie Bradshaw (Joey) of Collierville, Jason Backus of Bartlett, Tabitha Backus of Collierville and Elizabeth Kearns (Derek) of St. Johnsbury, VT; and her grandchildren, Maxwell, Declan, Susan, Douglas and Michael. She is also survived by newborn grandchildren, grandnieces, grandnephews and family friends.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made in Jean's honor to Hospice of Saint Lawrence Valley in Potsdam New York, West Cancer Foundation in Germantown, TN or The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
