It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janie Marie Switzer (Collierville, Tennessee), who passed away on June 9, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William T. Joyner and Pauline Marie Joyner (Broadway); her daughters, Beth Chancey (Switzer) and Cindy Greer (Switzer); her grandchildren, Courtney Staples (Greer), Hannah Chancey, Mary Chancey and Ruth Chancey; her great grandchildren, Lucas and Cora Staples; and her siblings, Larry, Jerry Joyner and Jean Bell.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home due to the COVID-19 outbreak and restrictions on gatherings.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Bellevue Baptist Church's SMMP (Student Music Mission Project) or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
