He is survived by: his wife Beverly Tullos Hood; his children, Anna Hood Hester (Jeff) and Andrew Hood (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Grant Hester, Zachary Hood, Paige Hood, Matthew Hester and Joshua Hood; and his brother James Hood (Shelley). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
