With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Donald Holmes of Collierville, Tennessee, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on September 1, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Asbury and Lillian Mable McOwen Holmes; and his sister Elaine Snyder (Al). He is survived by: his wife Mary "Ginger" Hale Holmes of Virginia; his brother Raymond Holmes (Sandra); his children, Scott Holmes (Kathy), Steve Holmes and Donna Robb (Brad); his grandchildren, Brandon Holmes, Lindsey Holmes Miller (Samuel), Blake Holmes (Emma), Justin Robb and Haley Robb; and his pets, Fudge and Indie. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Baptist Cancer Center or the charity of your choice.
