He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Cathey and Josephine Cathey; his wife Elizabeth Tidwell Cathey; his sons, Pierce Cathey of Memphis, Peyton Cathey of Collierville and Parker Cathey of Collierville; his siblings, Mary Lee Cathey Johnson of Dyersburg and Larry Paul Cathey (Kim) of Bartlett; his sisters-in-law, Ginger Emerson (Jody) of Bells and Patti Matson (Nick) of Huntersville, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Callie Jaggers, Claire Jaggers, Lauren Matson Davis, J. D. Jaggers, Jacob Cathey and Nicholas Matson.
