He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Johnson Spain and Martha Carnes Spain; and his sister Sudie King. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Longfellow Spain (Kay) of Collierville, TN; his daughters, Becky Spain of Memphis, TN. and Susan Spain of Memphis, TN.; and his siblings, Nancy Adams of Tupelo, John Spain (Janet) of Hillsboro and Chuck Spain (Sabrina) of Alamogordo, NM..
