She was predeceased by: her parents, Pryor Howell and Ella Blake May; her husband Jamie Sanford; her siblings, Kathleen Hamby and Douglas May; and her son John David Sanford.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jacob Logan Cook of Spring Grove, Illinois. and Sage Cook of Spring Grove, Illinois..

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mrs. Sanford may be offered to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
