He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ira Smith and Mattie Heavener Smith; his son Tommy; and his siblings, Genevieve Weatherly, Zelda Johnson, Cleon, Herbert, Onis, Lloyd, Norman, Cleburne and James.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Smith (Helen), Lisa Chism (Tom) and Philip Smith (Dorree Jane); and his significant other Dixie Ann Cook Smith. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
