He was predeceased by: his parents, Slater Whitten and Sevella Whitten; and his son Charles Gregory Whitten. He is survived by: his wife Carol Markle Whitten; his children, Kim (Hale) and Kevin (Julie); and his grandchildren, Weston Driver, Gracie Driver, Jackson Whitten, Chloe Driver and Brooklyn Whitten. He is also survived by 3 sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
