He was predeceased by: his parents, James Milton Ray and Evelyn Elaine Frost Ray; and his brother James "Jimmy" Edward Ray. He is survived by: his wife Rene Flippen Ray; his children, John Brandon Ray (Brandi) and Susan Elaine Ray Woods (Kendrick); his grandsons, Brayten Thomas Ray and Robert Brodie Ray; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Gill (Mickey) and Rhonda Maxwell (Jeff). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
