He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Everett and Joyce Elaine Edwards Smith; and his brother Danny Smith. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Moran Smith; his daughters, Leslie Smith and Lauren Redford (Jonathan); his sister Betsy Smith (Terry Cohea); and his granddaughters, Lilly and Lucy Redford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or Graceworks Ministries.
