He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Earnie Carmel Hance and Derhonda Lee Lingo Hance; and his siblings, Kenneth Hance and Wanda Hance Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Hance; his children, Richard Hance of Bon Aqua, TN, Terry Piercey (Don) and Melissa Weijers (Steve) of Eagleville, TN; his grandchildren, Wil Piercey, Dalton Piercey, Olivia Weijers, Dawson Weijers, LoganWeijers and Ani Weijers; and his great grandchild Evelyn Hazel Piercey.
