He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Ann Dockery Dalton Hitson and John Rufus Dalton; his daughter Lora Gail Taylor; and his siblings, Ollie Dalton, Thomas Dalton, Billy Dalton, Dela Vine Pierce, Lynn Dalton, Glen Dalton and Lenora Hitson Patterson.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Dalton; his children, Charlotte Miraglia, Monty Dalton and Robert Dalton; and his grandchildren, Missy French, Eric White, Ronnie French, Jr., Jimmy Russell, Chelsea Miraglia, Lacey Turner and Colon Dalton. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
