She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Brown and Clara Mae Shadrick Brown; her husband Don Samuel Tate; and her brothers, Steven Brown, Roddy Brown and Frank Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Carrie King (Michael); her granddaughter Candida Tate; and her great grandchild Cadence Davis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
