He was predeceased by: his parents, Brass McGhee and Margaret McGhee; and his brothers, Bailey, Ralph, Garlis and Calep McGhee.
He is survived by: his wife Esther McGhee; his daughter Sherry Daugherty; his grandson Stewart Daugherty (Tamera); his great grandchild Haley Daugherty; and his sisters-in-law, Hannah McGhee, Ethel McGhee and Melvalene Tucker.
