She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Simmons and Minnie P. Simmons; her husband John Clyde Mitchell (Jay); her son Kevin Mitchell; and her brothers, Leo Simmons (Hazel) and Howard Simmons (Sue).
She is survived by: her sons, Kendell Mitchell (Jean) and Brent Mitchell; her daughter-in-law Gail Mitchell; her grandchildren, John Mitchell, Sarah Mitchell Spencer (Lex), Sam Mitchell and Sidney; her great grandchild Trinity McGraw (Cameron); and her grandchildren, Cameron, Gabriel and Crichton Spencer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
