He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Riggs and Nell Riggs; and his brother Roger Riggs. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Long Riggs; and his sister Rebecca Smith of Hobart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Printing Ministry.
