He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Miller and Claire Miller (Lugt); and his brother Kenneth L. Miller. He is survived by: his significant other Charlene S. Fields; his children, Michelle D. Strohmenger (Miller), Matthew J. Miller and Kathryn C. Adams (Miller); his son-in-law Jared G. Adams; and his grandchildren, Michael I. Strohmenger, Seth G. Adams, Evie C. Adams and Matti E. Miller.
