He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marshall McFarland and Sephie Leon McFarland (Edmonds); his close friend Barbara Sue McFarland (Duncan); his siblings, Elmer, Boyd, Herbert, Cecil McFarland, Madge Howard, Ruth Graham, Florence Cox, Alma McGill and Reba Owens; and his grandchildren, Chris White and Bridgette Stagnolia.
He is survived by: his children, Alan McFarland (Sandy), Cheryl Byrge (Bobby) and Beryle Cook (Mike); his grandchildren, April McKelvy, Trina Quigley (Karl) and Dee Dee Justice (Nathan); his great grandchildren, Alexis McFarland, Camden Rice, Kayle White, Sebastian, Mia McKelvy, Jack, Senan and Eabha Quigley; his great great grandchildren, Amari McFarland and Zuri Thrasher; and his sister Reva Walker. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (777 Public Safety Ln, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Woodhaven Memorial Garden (160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849).
