He was predeceased by: his sister Darlene Burt. He is survived by: his parents, Daro Burt and Carol Stevenson Burt of Clinton; his wife Renee Daugherty Gayne; his children, Jody Wright of Kentucky, Cory Wright of Clinton and Janae Wright of Clinton; his brothers, Clark Gayne of New York, Phillip Burt, Rick Burt, Matt Burt and Derry Burt of Clinton; and his grandchildren, Jozlyn Wright, Kamryn Wright, Kylyn Stacy, Layla Wright, Avery Wright, Jordyn Wright and John Wright.
