He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mitchell and Bessie Mitchell; and his siblings, Ronnie Mitchell, Gail Mitchell and Janice Kay Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Louise Mitchell; his siblings, Vestal Mitchell (Pat Mitchell), Joyce Dagley and Phyllis Mitchell; his children, Jerry Dallon Mitchell, Jr. (JoeyAnn Mitchell), Cynthia Kitts (Gary Kitts) and Daniel Scott Mitchell, Sr. (Roya Mitchell); his grandchildren, Ashley Brennan (Joe Brennan), Stephanie Mitchell, Jessica Benson (Kyle Benson), Daniel Scott Mitchell, Jr. and Abby Kitts; and his great grandchildren, Emma Bardill, Maddie Brennan and Ben Brennan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Carroll Hollow Baptist Church.
