He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Shelton and Ora Shelton; and his siblings, Rema Hess, Imogene Slaven and Joe Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his children, Marc Shelton, Michael Shelton (Lori), Jason Shelton (Katie), Adam Souther (Pam) and Ashley Harris (Jason); his siblings, Jack Shelton (Brenda) and Marie Slaven; his parents-in-law, Max and Tinie McCarroll; and his siblings-in-law, Robert and Connie Smoot. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Black Oak Baptist Church renovation fund or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
