He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewell Lee Boyd and Lois Boyd; his former wife Brenda Joyce Boyd; and his brothers, Kenneth Boyd of Bartlett, Louis Boyd (Patsy) of Douglasville and Robert Boyd of Power Springs.
He is survived by: his former wife Brenda J. Hudson; his wife Edna Parker Boyd; his children, Mark Boyd and Stephanie Hammett (Charles) of Clinton; his stepchildren, Sarah Glavota (Hrv) and Kemper (Michael Ann Begley); his siblings, Danny Boyd and Deborah Runkles (Curtis); his grandsons, Jon Boyd (Susan), Matthew Boyd (Renee), Dalton Hammett and Garrett Hammett; his great grandchildren, Nathan Boyd, Isaiah Boyd, Leland Boyd, Mylie Boyd, Samantha Boyd and Jack Hammett; his stepgrandson Zane Begley; and his friend Smokey Martin.
