He is survived by: his significant other Cheryl D. Whitson; his children, H. Stephen Whitson (Shannon), Susan Whitson Hodges (Michael), Robin Hann Atkins (Wayne) and Merri Hann Everett (Chad); and his siblings, Phil Whitson, Zona Whitson, Ket Whitson and David Whitson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park (1501 Bethel Valley Rd, Oak Ridge, TN 37830).
