He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Duncan and Gertrude Patterson; and his brothers, J. D. Hunter, Robert Duncan and Louis Duncan.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Duncan and Ashley Duncan; his grandchildren, Brittany Bogard (Evans) and Hunter Duncan; his great grandchild Carter Bogard; and his siblings, Shirley Lloyd, Martha Patterson, Helen Bumgardener and Dallas Patterson Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
