He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Anderson and Cinda Lou Anderson; and his grandparents, Wilker, Dorothy Bray, John and Maggie Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine Anderson; his daughter Jaclyn Gibson (Hubert); his granddaughters, Tiffany and Evelyn; and his siblings, Janet Adkisson, Curtiss Anderson and Frank Anderson. He is also survived by several special friends and coworkers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Premier Sharp Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

“*My thoughts are with you as you continue to heal from Gene's passing. You can't really explain to people what Gene was - a great co-worker, a personal friend, and all around comedian. My cell phone contact name for him is actually, "Gene Anderson, Genius." His love and support during my recent surgery was always so heartfelt and so appreciated. Gene was always there for his friends, picking us all up when we were down and I'll miss him and will always miss his thunderous laughter.”
