He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Coleman and Grace Coleman. He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Coleman; his children, Marsha Coleman Stapleton (Martin Stapleton, Jr.) and Mark Childress (Alica Childress); his grandchildren, Noel Shipley (Kipp Shipley) of Gallatin, Will Childress, Grace Stapleton and Abigail Stapleton; his great grandchild Knox Shipley; his sisters-in-law, Naomi Stokes and Rebecca Coleman of Kingsport; and his sisters, Lois Tyler of Ewing, VA, Eloise Halsey of Sparta, NC and Rebecca Coleman of Kingsport. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and countless friends.
