The memory of Evelyn Cason of Clinton, Tennessee, who passed away on January 11, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Evelyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Evelyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Earl McCune Sr. and Anne Kenney McCune; and her siblings, Rochelle McCune Hooks and Edward Earl McCune Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Lamar Cason; her stepmother Evelyn Livingston McCune; her sister-in-law Debbie McCune Powell of McDonough; and her stepchildren, Steve Cason of Knoxville, TN and Tammy Osborn (Jim) of Blaine, WA. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. 5 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nieces.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the New Salem Baptist Church (1000 Clinch Ave, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM.
