She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Carrera and Evarista Valenzuela; and her brothers, Lucio, Jesus (Julius Troy Mayr) and Ronald E. Whitson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Erin Vargas (Larry) of Prattville, AL and Natalie Young of Knoxville, TN; her grandsons, Joshua Troy Vargas, Jason Anthony Vargas and Julian James Young; and her great grandchildren, Andrew Chapman, Caroline Eloise and Tucker Owen Vargas. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, special cousins, and friends.
