He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Jones Long; his daughters, Carol Barker of Athens, TN. and Candace Wilson (Bob) of Athens, TN.; his grandchildren, Shannon Lambert (Tom), Wesley Smith (Chris), Tim Melton (Emily), Wendi and Drew Welch of Franklin, OH.; his great great grandchildren, Blake Lambert (Kelly), Trent Lambert (Samantha), Kylie Brown (Grant), Austin Smith (Savana Casteel), Cameron Smith, Allie Smith, Carly Thompson (Jeremy), Christine Zaragoza Miraflor (Mikey Leamon), Clancy Melton, Heath, Wil Welch and Owen Welch of Franklin, OH.; his nieces, Pamela Long Vasquez, Joan Long Phillips (Wayne Phillips) and Sue Long Harness; and his nephew Randy Long (Diane).
Eugene Thomas Long, 97, departed this world on October 19, 2020 due to complications from the COVID-19 virus.
