It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Gault McCarthy of Clinton, Tennessee, who passed away on December 25, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. A. Gault and Flora Gault; her husband Joseph McCarthy; her siblings, Helen Thomas, Ruby Jean Gann, C. H. Gault, Flora Alice Lewis and Mary Ben-Eliezer; and her granddaughter Laura Stewart.
She is survived by: her siblings, Frank Gault, Allie Harrington and Beverly Disney; her children, Linda Stewart Burnett (Jackson Walker), Kathy Stewart Melton and Gene Stewart; her grandchildren, Samantha Russell Babb, Kari Russell, Sonya Stewart, Clint Stewart and Garrett Stewart; her great grandchildren, Katie Babb Foster, Cole Babb, Ashleay Abston, Alexa Carroll and Dylan Russell; and her great great grandchildren, Emory, Addyson, Hayden Foster, Leeland Davis, Corbin Wood and Owen Babb. She is also survived by her eight siblings.
