She was predeceased by: her parents, Cora Hammock and Walter Hammock; and her son John William Overley. She is survived by: her husband George H. Abner (GH); her daughters, Cheryl L. Scott (James) and Kim DuCote; her sisters, Sue Hammock and Virginia Duffy; and her grandchildren, John III, Christina, Melissa, Joseph, Meagan, Dannielle, Payton and Lourdes. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
