He was predeceased by: his father Herschel Byrd; and his sister Mildred Beets. He is survived by: his wife Jan Byrd; his children, Jackie Westgate of New York and Roger Byrd of Clinton; his grandchildren, Brianna Rafferty (Johnpaul) and Spencer Byrd; his great grandchild Grayson Rafferty; and his brother Ray Byrd (Lori). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
