He was predeceased by: his parents, Avie Cox and Flossie Cox; his brothers, Howard, Lester, Hershel and Kenneth Cox; his wife Geraldine Cox (Brummett); and his son Jerry Cox.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Suter (Tim); his grandchildren, Carter and Caroline Bolling; his brother Sherwood Cox; and his close friend Ruby Haggard.
