He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Harrison Ayres and Dora Ayres; his daughter Teresa Ayres; and his sister Jeanette Ayres Long. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Ayres; his children, Patricia Tinsley (Jay) of Knoxville, TN and Neil Evans (Amanda) of Rocky Top; his grandchildren, Jacob Tinsley, Elliott Tinsley, Lauren, Destiny Hardee (John) of Knoxville, Audrey and Anna Evans of Rocky Top; his siblings, Tommy Ayres and Sandra Stump of Knoxville; and his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Worthington (Lisa) of Clinton, David Worthington of Clinton and Karen Guynes (Bill) of Knoxville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and friends.
