She was predeceased by: her parents, William Byrd and Louvania Byrd; her son Claude Edward Helton; and her sisters, Janice Botts and Barbara Gail Byrd.
She is survived by: her husband Claude Helton of Clinton; her son Phil Helton (Sylvia Wilbanks) of Clinton; and her siblings, Lonna Rose Adkins, Jamia Gardner (Joe) of Clinton, Nancy Newman of Clinton, Donna Baird (Estel) of Pioneer and Billy Byrd (Betty) of Pioneer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
