She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Hackworth and Daisy McGhee Hackworth; her husband Herb Shelton; her siblings, James Albert Hackworth and Betty Hackworth Williams; and her nieces, Alisa Hackworth McGhee and Francene Chandler Weaver.
She is survived by: her sisters, Faye Smith, Doris Jean Teffetteller and Linda Smith; and her nephew Gary Hackworth. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many friends.
