He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvan Ernest Irwin, Jr. and Mary McCord Irwin; and his wife Phyllis Irwin. He is survived by: his children, Van Irwin IV (Leslie), Mike Irwin, Sr. (Carman) and Anthony Lee Irwin; his sister Mary Elaine Hargis; and his grandchildren, Jon Michael Irwin, Hannah Farmer (Jeremy), Heather Blocker (Shane), Sean Irwin, Sloan Irwin and Wyatt Irwin (Shelby). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
