Wilma Burgess Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2025, at the age of 87, Wilma Burgess of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Massengill and Margaret Massengill; her husband Herbert Burgess; and her sons, Larry Andrew, Paul Clayton and Jesse Clyde Burgess.
She is survived by: her children, Patsy Redd (Anthony), Peggy Borden, Phyllis Ownby, Lucille Wooten (Benny), Doris Handy and John Burgess; her half-sister Linda Creel; and her siblings, Beverly Whiteside, Brenda Lambert, Ronnie, Charles, Chuckie and Stevie Massengill. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Ridge Chapel (2412 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Lee Cemetery (5139 S Lee Hwy, McDonald, TN 37353).
