He was predeceased by: his parents, Taylor Lauderdale Cox and William "Bill" Lauderdale; his stepfather John Cox; his brother Jerry Lauderdale; and the mother of his children Diana Tinsley Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Lauderdale; his children, Valerie Cate (Tom), Angela Burt (Paul), Celia Lee (Chris) and Micah Geren; and his sisters, Sylvia Coates (Ed), Linda McNabb (Jerry) and Kim Lowe (Rick). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Cedar Springs Baptist Church located at 723 Cedar Springs Road Cleveland, TN. 37323 in Sammy's name.
