Roy Glenn Ownbey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Glenn Ownbey of Cleveland, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Roy shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Roy farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Glenn Ownbey, Sr. and LaVerne Slaughter Ownbey; his wife Rosemary Osler; his granddaughter Samantha; and his siblings, Jim, Joe Ownbey and Jan Perkinson.
He is survived by: his daughter Jillian Stones (Robert); his granddaughter Kendall Johnson (Matthew); and his sisters, Judy Gobble (Ted) and Juanita Harris (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Union Grove (4889 Bates Pike SE, Cleveland, TN 37323).
