He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles S. Lagree McClelland and Ruth Stringer Groff; his daughter Melissa McClelland; his brother Jim McClelland; his uncle Joe Stringer; and his aunt Sami Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Marqueita Thurmond McClelland; his son Rodney McClelland; his siblings, Kathy Shook and Greg McClelland (Kimberly Cooke); his stepson Todd Thurmond (Joan); his stepgrandchildren, Hannah and Taylor Thurmond; his friends, Sid Herring and Terry Hoy; and his daughter Cathy Chapman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Calendar Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Cleveland (2415 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
