It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert A. Presswood Jr. of Cleveland, Tennessee, who passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Presswood and Annie Merrell Presswood; his former wife Peggy Hedden Presswood; his son-in-law Ronnie Guinn; his siblings, Sarah Drinkwater, Lavada Haire, Horace Presswood, Andrew Presswood, Elzie Presswood, Willie Presswood, Fred Presswood and Virgil Presswood; and his siblings-in-law, Doug Hedden, Edith Newton, Ruth Hedden, Lecia Colley and Evelyn Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Almeta Taylor Presswood of Cleveland, TN; his children, Robert Presswood III of Cleveland, TN, Loretta Rummel (Ricky) of Benton, TN and Rachel Guinn of Benton, TN; his stepchildren, Bob Taylor (Harriett) of Cleveland, TN, Vickie Taylor of Cleveland, TN, Les Taylor (Keri) of Cleveland, TN and Debbie Taylor of Cleveland, TN; his grandchildren, Allie Williams (Taylor), Courtney Presswood, April Danielle Williams (Michael) and Andrew Guinn; his great grandchildren, Rhett Williams, Miley Ann Williams, Silas Williams, Salem Williams and Roslyn Williams; his brothers-in-law, Dean Hedden (Betty) and Joe Hedden (Sybill); and his friends, Jamesie, Shirley Neyman and Tony Durbin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (6439 US-411, Benton, TN 37307). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Hedden Cemetery (1561 Mountain View Rd, Benton, TN 37307). He was a charter member of the Way of The Cross Baptist Church and pre-covid he attended Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy.
