He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. L. Goins and Bertie Bennett Goins; his wife Sammie Jean Shelton Goins; his sons, Raymond Keith Goins and Richard Goins; his brother Junior Goins; his stepmother Katherine Goins Roark; and his grandparents, Mary, Jasper Henry McCarter, Marvin and Jewell Goins.
He is survived by: his children, Angie Defriece (Robbie) and Mitchell Goins (Ramona); his grandchildren, Anthony, Ashley Harris, Chanda, Kendall Herron, Chris, Ashley Defriece, Chad, Cody Goins, Zach and Stacy Roberts; his great grandchildren, Kain Moffett, Stella Harris, Hailey Harris, Raine Harris, Kayla Herron, Makinley Herron, Tucker Herron, Bentley DeFriece, Madison Goins, Carolina Goins, Gwendolyn Roberts and Easton Roberts; his sisters, Joyce Krafft and Jamie Davis (Otis); and his siblings-in-law, Sue Shelton Higby, Bill Higby and J. R. Pickens.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel (2415 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
