He is survived by: his wife Ruth Estelle Patrick; his son Lowell Kirkwood, Jr.; his grandchildren, Melinda Elizabeth, Patrick Michael, Brandy Keaton (Bobby), Acea Timmons, Gabrielle Clark (Daniel), Jordan Timmons (Graicyn), Bailey Timmons, Katelyn Kowalski and Robert Kowalski; and his great grandchildren, Christian, Matthew, Aiden, Maci, Gunner, Wylder and Annabell.
