He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence F. "Scrubby" McDaris and Jimmie Wilson McDaris. He is survived by: his wife Lusia; his daughters, Dr. Laura Catharine Brittain (Lee) and Julia Elizabeth McDaris; and his granddaughter Clara Wilson Brittain.
