It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Tinsley (Cleveland, Tennessee), born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Tinsley and Juanita Tinsley; his grandmother Jean Tinsley; and his siblings, Mary Jane Bean, Sue Tinsley, Rob Tinsley, Joe Tinsley, Major Tinsley, Ralph Tinsley, Lona Scoggins and Frank Tinsley.
He is survived by: his son Jimmy Tinsley; his daughter-in-law Lana; his grandchildren, Dustin Tinsley and Breana; his great grandchild Little D.; his siblings, Norma Floyd, Margaret McKamey, Ola Mae Trentham, Glen Tinsley and Coy Tinsley; and his godchildren, Dara, Rachel and Paula.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Ridge Chapel (2412 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
